The deVeber Institute for Bioethics and Social Research hosted a stem cell pub talk in Toronto, Canada on July 3, 2012 with stem cell transplant patient Lorraine McCallum and CIHR researchers Dr. David Hill and Dr. Michael Fehlings. Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. First speaker: Lorraine McCallum Only days after giving birth to her third daughter, Lorraine was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells. Lorraine received an autologous stem cell transplant in 2009. She is currently in remission. Lorraine shares her experience as a patient benefitting from adult stem cell research.
